Episode 35: FIYAH Literary Magazine's Issue #1: Rebirth

What it isssss!?! So boom, we're continuing our Summer Short Series by discussing 2 short stories from the first issue of the legendary Black speculative fiction literary magazine, FIYAH! Based off of the iconic 1926 literary magazine, "Fire!!", created by Harlem Renaissance legends including Zora Neale Hurston and Langston Hughes to name a few, this magazine asks what does it mean to look at intersectional issues of equality through the lens of science fiction and fantasy?

So obviously, there is much to discuss. And we'll be talking in particular about the short stories "Police Magic" by Brent Lambert and "Chesirah" by L.D. Lewis!
